Is this Cancun roundtrip for 335 after tax an all inclusive??? If so.....SOLD!!!! Please let me know so I can book it if it is all inclusive. Also....do u need a passport for Mexico?? I was told a birth certificate was good as long as it was a direct flight. But if the plane stops in the U.S..... Then a passport is needed. Asking cuz my kids don't have passports....and wanted to know to see if they could come. Thank you for ur time.
Hi Jackie,
No, it's just for the flight. $335/person after tax for an all inclusive would definitely be amazing, even if it were just for a bottom of the barrel resort.
Typically the very cheapest all inclusive packages from Edmonton are around $500-$600/person after tax. That's for something terrible, like the Villa La Mar in Varadero, Cuba. A true 1 star resort.
The cheapest for something mediocre is usually around $700ish.
The cheapest for something nice is usually around $900-1000ish (but one can certainly spend a lot more!).
I like it when something nice comes out for under $800/person, that's a very good deal.
Regarding the passports...
"All US and Canadian citizens, regardless of age, traveling by air to Mexico are required to present a passport."
Here's the official link from the Government of Canada:
http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/mexico-mexique/consul/visas.aspx
Canadian travelers visiting Mexico with children should carry:
* a valid passport for each child as required above;
* if a child is travelling with only one parent, a notarized authorization signed by the other parent;
* if a child is travelling with a person other than a parent, a notarized authorization signed by both parents stating the name of the adult travel companion;
* The child's long-form birth certificate if the name of only one parent appears on it.
