Air New Zealand has dropped the price of some of their 2018 flights from Edmonton to Auckland, New Zealand down to $841 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights have 1 stop each way, in Houston.
Between Edmonton and Houston, the flights are with United Airlines. Between Houston and Auckland, the non-stop flight is operated by Air New Zealand.
The flights are not as good as the $975 flights with Air New Zealand that were available about a month ago (1 stop flights via Vancouver, the fastest flights from Edmonton to New Zealand.)

Update 11/2 - I've seen a few flights in April 2018 from Edmonton to Auckland, New Zealand for as low as $793 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
1. Start with a Google Flights search like this one:
Google Flights: Edmonton to Auckland, New Zealand
Click on the departure date box to open up the calendar view and browse for the cheap date combinations.
Look for the dates that are $954 CAD roundtrip.
NOTE: These dates may lead you to some flights that are $793 CAD roundtrip, but I've only seen a few dates in April 2018 that are actually this low in price.

3. Search for a flight from Edmonton to Auckland, New Zealand (AKL)
Try the same dates you found on Google Flights.
