From Edmonton (YEG), the 4 new destinations for Flair are:
Hollywood Burbank, California (BUR)
Palm Springs, California (PSP)
Las Vegas, Nevada (LAS)
Phoenix-Mesa, Arizona (AZA)
Thoughts
- Flair is flying into Burbank, California (BUR) which is a good hour north of LAX airport with typical terrible Los Angeles traffic. BUR is closer to Hollywood, Universal Studios, and the Griffith Observatory than LAX. But about 20 minute further away from Disneyland.
- Flair is flying into Phoenix-Mesa, Arizona (AZA) which is about a half hour east of the more common Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX) airport. AZA is about 40 minutes from central Phoenix, while PHX is less than 10 minutes away.
- The rarest of beasts, cheap Christmas holiday flights are currently available with the launch of these flights. Those will likely be the first ones to become more expensive.
Introductory prices
$198 CAD roundtrip including taxes is the base price, and includes *only* a personal item. Flair is an ultra low cost carrier that charges extra for *everything*.
$298 CAD roundtrip including taxes is the price with carry-on or a checked bag included, for a more fair comparison against other airlines.
Vice-versa flights (U.S. airport to Edmonton) are also available for a similar roundtrip price.
