Icelandair has dropped some of their May 2016 prices from Edmonton to Reykjavik, Iceland (KEF) down to $566 CAD roundtrip including taxes.

Sep 6, 7, 8 to Sep 16 or 17
Sep 13, 14, 15 to Sep 23 or 24
Sep 21, 22 to Sep 30
There are also dates available for this price in January, February, March, and April 2016.
But keep in mind that Iceland doesn't really warm up until summer and then starts to cool down again in September. May & September are shoulder months.
