Hi there!
The statement "Flair Air's lowest prices now include both a personal item and carry-on" - is this in effect now? I looked on their website and they still indicate for a carry on there is still a charge?
Hi Tracey,
For some strange reason, Flair Air has never updated their baggage fee page, ever since announcing a few months ago that carry-on bags would be free going forward.
But there's a few reasons I'm pretty sure that carry-on is free...
1. If you try booking a flight, you can select an option to pay for checked bags, but not carry-on.
2. On the search results page, if you look near the bottom left under 'Rules', try clicking on 'More'. (It's a little hard to find). It says:
Baggage Allowance: Personal Bag and Carry-on bag free, checked baggage fees apply
3. Everyone I've heard from that's flown with Flair recently has said that carry-on is free.
Thank you Chris! Booked a spontaneous girls trip for $100 roundtrip.
No problem Meg, have a great time!
what is the difference from booking loonie? or toonie?
Toonie is what they name their fare class with a checked bag and seat assignment included.
"Toonie fare includes changes for a fee, refundable with a penalty, 1 carry on and 1 checked bag, seat assignment for free, advance purchase 0 days minimum, downgrade of fare not allowed. "
"Loonie fare includes carry on baggage, is non-refundable, advance purchase 7 days minimum, upgrade to higher fares allowed and changes allowed for a fee."
Anyone have any personal experience with Flair Air, specifically on short flights like Edmonton to Vancouver?
I experienced delays, but I was flying late Jan. They claimed the delay was due to de-icing. But the delay in Toronto became a delay in Edmonton which became a delay in Kelowna. 1 hour delay Kelowna to Vancouver. 3 hour delay Vancouver to Kelowna. It didn't bother me but there were people who had specific appointments in Kelowna, that they were late for. If you can handle a delay, or allow for a delay the rate is too good to pass up.
I would hope as the weather warms the delays will be eliminated or at least fewer
